Since Principe di Villafranca's renovation work in 2010, much of the special attention is dedicated to the fusion of contemporary art, making this close link one of its unique characteristics. Enjoy a cosy sitting in the library with a book, fireplace and displays of local designer's work; among a comfy, high ceiling room decorated with artwork by some of the most relevant artists of the contemporary scene in Sicily.
OUR STORY
Hotel Principe di Villafranca is a stone's throw away from picturesque Teatro Politeama, Teatro Massimo and Cuba. For breakfast you can indulge in delicious Sicilian cannolis, sweet pastries, selection of traditional cheeses and cured meats and more - all of which is served in the sunny breakfast room. Il Principe e L'oste is a restaurant adjacent to the hotel, which serves delicious Sicilian dishes, together with a daily breakfast using only fresh, local ingredients.
The 32 air-conditioned rooms all feature minibars and safes. The rooms have LCD TV with satellite. The bathrooms all offer hair dryers, slippers and complimentary toiletries.
A relaxing communal lounge with the library can be used at your own convenience as well as the large lobby with a bar. You can read a book from the library where newspapers, magazines, art books and foreign language novels can be picked up for a good read. There is an additional Internet Point for checking your e-mails. The nice fireplace in the lobby makes the experience very cosy and homely.
The sophisticated and unusual elegance of all the property areas, from relaxation rooms to corridors, and the constant presence of art and design all throughout the stay experience left a mark on us, which in the end we realised how much we got to learn about the city without moving.
