The absence of typical tourist attractions gives you every reason to immerse yourself in local culture, enjoying everything from sunbathing and wine tasting to sea dips.

Each of the five villages boasts its unique dialect and heritage, enhancing its quaint and authentic allure. Vernazza, with its artisanal goods and stunning seaside views, holds a special place in our hearts. The town is renowned for its comfortable Vernazza sandals and a vibrant array of bars and eateries brimming with local art.

Corniglia, known for its serene central square, invites visitors to hike its legendary trails. This town's origin story, centred around a Roman farmer named after his mother, Cornelia, adds a touch of history to its tranquil ambience.

Valley inhabitants seeking a milder climate for agriculture founded Riomaggiore, the village closest to the bustling port of La Spezia, in the 8th century. Its stone houses, painted in vibrant hues, overlook the sea, offering breathtaking views.

Cinque Terre's culinary scene is equally captivating. Allegedly the birthplace of pesto, this region offers a culinary journey with fresh local ingredients. Pesto here is traditionally made with basil, pine nuts, garlic, olive oil, and cheese, complementing local pasta like trofie and trenette. Don't miss the anchovies fresh from Monterosso's waters, or the succulent mussels from the Gulf of La Spezia. And for street food enthusiasts, the mixed fried seafood, served in paper cones, is a delight.
